Peer Pressure: An unwanted commodity

Peer pressure is the influence of a social group on an individual. It increases a lot during festivities. With New Year round the corner, the probability increases that each and every one of us will be affected by peer pressure in one way or the other.

Deal with peer pressure, now:
Build your self esteem
Choose your friends wisely.
Be aware of the consequences.
Don’t be afraid of sounding rude.
Be yourself; make your own decisions, regardless of what others think.
Listen to your gut feelings
Learn to feel comfortable when saying "no."
If a situation seems dangerous, don't hesitate to get help.

We at SevenHills Hospital agree that peer pressure will never completely go away. Some are bad, some are good; which happens when a person is pushed into something that you does not have the courage to do.
