“Connection between Diet and Brain”

Your diet and your memory are very closely linked. Brain needs the right kind of energy and nutrients throughout the day and these nutrients come from your diet. Some brain food includes Apples, Bananas, Blueberries, Dark green vegetables, Eggs, salmon. Our ability to think, to reason, to create art and music, to develop technology and perform complex work is at stake in what we eat. Some dietary changes you can make to help improve your memory:

  1. Eat 5 – 6 small meals a day since it keeps your blood sugar steady throughout the day.
  2. Start every day with a healthy breakfast since your brain and body need refueling after fasting overnight
  3. After few hours of lunch have healthy snack to maintain alertness throughout the rest of day.
  4. Eat a small bar of dark chocolate since it gives your brain a boost.
  5. Eat sugar free gum since chewing motion increases heart rate which increases blood flow to head and brain.
  6. Control your weight to keep blood sugar steady since it gives more mental energy.

 Things to limit on:
  1. Stop drinking soda.
  2. Cut back on fast food.
  3. Avoid food made of white floor.
  4. Stop drinking alcohol.

Eggs and vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower help to increase memory. Eat them regularly.
