Avoid These 5 Habits To Avoid Unhealthy Hair

There are a lot of things that you do every day that can damage the health and look of your hair. Here's what you need to stop doing if you really want strong, luscious, and fabulous tresses that you can flaunt wherever you go!

1. Brushing Your Hair Too Often And From Root To Tip

Brushing your hair too often or when wet weakens your hair from the root and brushing it from root to tip leads to tangling, both of which cause hair fall and damage. To prevent this, begin brushing from the middle, and do not be harsh on your hair while doing so.

2. Keeping Your Hair Tied Up For Excessive Time

Braiding your hair, tying them when wet, or keeping them tied up for excessive hours can lead to constant pulling of your strands, which can cause the foundation to go weak, and can lead to hair pulling and hair breaking.

3. Using Styling Products And/Or Heat Styling Your Wet Hair

Using too many styling products too often or styling your hair when wet can take away its essential oils. This can make your hair dry, dull, and vulnerable. It’s better to allow your hair to dry and let them breathe by avoiding styling products.

4. Washing Your Hair Daily With Hot Water

Washing your hair daily will surely keep your scalp clean, but it will also take away the natural oils that are necessary to maintain the health and shine of your hair. Using hot water will loosen your follicles. Each of these may lead to brittle, dry hair, and eventually damage and hair fall.

5. Not Managing Triggers

Avoiding oiling your tresses, not massaging your scalp, following an unbalanced diet, not protecting your hair from the sun’s heat, towel drying them, and avoiding split-end trimming can further ruin the texture of your hair and can cause damage to them. Together, these can make your hair look lifeless.

To get back the lost beauty and health of your hair, pay attention to the above and take care to treat them right.
